Jackson Galloway Architects seeks an Interior Designer to work on a range of projects, primarily focused in the Religious and Educational field. Job Description:

DESIGN:

  • Assist with space planning, furniture layouts, furniture selection, and interior material selection
  • Take measurements, give specific direction, and check project progress on job sites
  • Create and document finish materials schedules, floor pattern plans, and furniture plans
  • Assist architects in creating/editing interior elevations in the construction drawings
  • Attend client meetings, take minutes, assist in decision making process for materials, etc. Communicate minutes with all team members and client.

PRODUCT RESEARCH AND PROCUREMENT PROCESS:

  • Help manage library of furniture and interior products. Help educate staff of new products and organize lunch and learn opportunities
  • Create purchase orders for furnishings to be ordered and communicate with manufacturers after final approval from client
  • Make weekly checks of furniture orders, log information gathered, and keep detailed project furnishing binder up-to-date
  • Manage the furnishings budget and sales in Quickbooks or Excel spreadsheets
  • Set-up delivery to our “receiver” and coordinate storage/final delivery to client

DESIGN ADMINISTRATION:

  • Process submittals to be sent to contractors during the construction phase
  • Record interior design directives to be sent to contractors during construction
  • Pull Lighting cut sheets (either from the web or catalogs), copy and cross reference with Lighting submittals
  • Cross reference Contractor submittals with our selections and/or “intent” for the design
  • Observe installation of furnishings/dОcor in final phase of project construction

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • REVIT, Drafting and Hand Illustration
  • Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, Power Point,
  • Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator would be nice – can train

ADDITIONAL SKILLS (Desired for Marketing Assistance):

  • Social Media Management – Blog, Google Reviews, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest
  • Marketing Copywriting and Composition for Marketing – RFQs / RFPs / Letters of Interest
  • Interview Materials Preparation – Reprographics Scanning/Formatting, Binding,
  • Photography and Editing – Occasional Portraits, Blog / Social Media, Architectural Marketing
