Our founding principals John Jackson, AIA and Bob Galloway, AIA
began working together in college and name among their early mentors
AIA Gold Medalists Fay Jones, Charles Moore, and Cambridge
Seven Associates. John worked and studied under both Jones and
Moore during his early career, and their rich legacy of distinctive
American architecture continues to inform our studio’s design sensibilities.
Bob gained a wealth of experience working on educational,
athletic, commercial, community, aquarium, and transportation
facilities early in his career at Cambridge Seven Associates, Inc. in
Massachusetts. The American Institute of Architects awarded Cambridge
Seven the 1993 Gold Medal, while Bob was serving the firm
as an associate in charge of their technical review process.
In 1997 John and Bob began their practice in Austin, and have
maintained a 12 to 16 member staff since 2002. Our firm size allows
direct principal involvement on each project, offering our clients all
the experience and expertise of a large firm, in the personal attention
and service of a small firm. In 2009 Ponciano Morales III, AIA joined
forces with the JGA team after serving as president of Morales &
Associates, Architects, Inc. for the previous fifteen years. Ponciano
brings to our team 40 years of experience working on public, commercial,
and university projects in Texas.
