Austin Oaks Church | Community Building & Welcome Center

Austin, Texas

The second phase of new construction designed by JGA for the church consists of a Community Center for fellowship and administration that both reiterates the existing campus’ architectural themes (elegant stone arcades opening onto the shaded courtyard, natural hues in stucco, dark bronze metal structure and wood soffits) and expands them to include several new features.

The ground floor is designated to foster community among church attendees. An Assembly Space, Coffee Shop and ample covered seating under the building’s deep covered walkway open out onto the playground and main courtyard.

Offices were arranged around the perimeter of the building on the upper levels, with an open studio space at the core to foster collaboration and fellowship among staff members.
