Delco Activity Center

Austin, Texas

Named in honor of long-time educators and community leaders in the Austin area, the Dr. Exalton and Wilhelmina Delco Activity Center is a multipurpose indoor event venue serving the needs of the northeast region of the Austin Independent School District.

Because the arena is largely symmetrical, its entrances are graphically marked, externally and internally, to enable visitors to easily navigate the space. Eight 26-foot-tall square graphic panels adorn the exterior façade, displaying the various events the center is suited to accommodate. Each of the four internal corners of the building is  marked by its own bright color scheme, visible on the stairs, overhead mechanical rooms and ductwork.
