Church at Canyon Creek

Austin, Texas

The church ministries are very family-oriented and geared to attract unchurched members of neighboring subdivisions. Consequently, the architecture is non-traditional, inviting and casual, but with as much presence along the Highway as possible. Phase I buildings include the Worship Center and a two-story Christian Education Building with 25 classrooms.

Catwalk and overhead elements of the nearly $1 million theatrical lighting, sound and audio/visual system are hidden from view by custom-designed hanging louvres in the new Worship Center. The aesthetic is purposefully more like a contemporary fine arts auditorium than a traditional sanctuary.
